Junior Challenge Cairns

Note: below details subject to change.

Join in the tri fun with the kids’ only version of Cairns Airport Challenge Cairns. Swim through the Esplanade Lagoon, ride along the Esplanade and run along the boardwalk to the finish at Fogarty Park. It’s not about being the best but giving it a go and having a whole lot of fun being active, plus you’ll get a finishers medal and go in the draw to win spot prizes. It doesn't matter if you've never raced triathlon before or if you want to race as an individual or as part of a team with your friends and family.

Starting at the Esplanade Lagoon and incorporating the Cairns Esplanade boardwalk with finish at Fogarty park.

Short achievable distance on a completely safe course.

11-13 years 100m Swim / 3km Cycle / 1km Run
Family Wave* 50m Swim / 1km Cycle / 500m Run
