The 2012 Dextro Energy Triathlon Sydney, Age Group Olympic Distance, will be held on April 15, 2012.

The Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship Series was launched in 2009, replacing a one-off event and taking in signature cities around the world. The world’s best triathletes race head-to-head around the globe, amid famous landmarks and in 2011 Sydney will once again host the opening round of the series.

9 May 2011 Dextro Energy Triathlon - Age Group Race in Sydney
Sydney's David Clark and Germany's Marion Summerer both celebrated victory at the inaugural Dextro Energy Triathlon Sydney age group race in perfect conditions on Sunday 10th April 2011. The event marked the first ever Olympic distance triathlon where competitors had the unique opportunity to swim 1500m in Farm Cove, alongside the Sydney Opera House, cycle 40km on an inner city course that took them over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge three times and run 10km through the city and alongside the picturesque Royal Botanic Gardens.
