Long Course Racing Returns to Geelong!
With the popularity of long course triathlons booming in Australia, USM Events is excited to bring back long course racing to Geelong with the URBAN 2.80.20.
A multi looped fast course, the URBAN 2.80.20 is set to test avid triathletes looking for a challenging and unique experience along Geelong’s spectacular waterfront and scenic country side.
If you’re not up to doing it alone, get some friends and enter a team!

You must have entered the Elite Category and have a Pro License to be eligible for prize money.

Age Group & Teams Category
Medallions will be awarded for 1st - 3rd Age Group Category Winners and Team Category Winners.
If you are a place-getter in your category and are not able to stay for presentations, you will need to contact the USM office within two weeks of the event to arrange collection of your medal. You will need to inform us whether you would like to pick up your medal from the USM office, or if you would like your medal posted to you for a surcharge of $10.00.

Late entries will be taken if field limits allow between the specified Check-In Times for the URBAN 2.80.20:

Please note a $15 late fee will apply per Entry Fees listed above.
Withdrawals
By mail, USM EVENTS PO BOX 1145, Eagle Farm, QLD or email brisbane@usmevents.com.au If you withdraw on race day before the race start, please advise the help desk and hand your timing band in. If you withdraw during the race, please report to the Festival Information Centre and advise them you have withdrawn and also hand your timing band in. If you do withdraw please DO NOT cross the finish line area.
Cancellation Fee
10% cancellation fee up until 5pm November 30, 2011
25% cancellation fee up until 5pm 6, January, 2012
50% cancellation fee up until 5pm 1, February 2012.
If I am unable to compete after this time and date my registration fee is non-refundable.
Medical Insurance
It is strongly advised that you take out personal medical insurance for the duration of your stay, especially for international competitors. Under the Australian Health Act, all non-Australians are not covered financially for personal injury. If you do have an accident you must pay for your own medical expenses. Therefore it is essential for you to obtain adequate personal medical insurance.
Race Briefing
You will receive a written race briefing at check-in. Please Read Carefully. There will be a pre-race briefing on Saturday 11 February at 2pm and at 4pm in Steampacket Gardens.
Transition Tours
Help make your race day run smoothly by participating in one of the free Transition Tours on Saturday 11th February 2012.
Sessions will involve a walk-through of the swim/bike and bike/run transition areas. These tours will be beneficial to all first-timers as well as people wanting to pick any tips for race day. The tours will run for approximately half an hour, including a question and answer time.
START TIME: 3pm and 5pm
TOUR HOST: Fluid Movements Sports
REGISTER: Transition tours are free! We ask that you register your interest so we know how many people to expect. To register competitors should email Coach Sean Foster at sfos@optusnet.com.au
MEETING PLACE: Entrance to Transition at Eastern Beach (look for Transition Tour signage)

Rules
Event is sanctioned by TriVic. Triathlon Australia Race Rules apply. All disqualifications will be posted at the Festival Information Centre following the race.
All inquiries about disqualifications must be made within an hour after the event and can only be discussed with a TriVic official.

Speed Suits A competitor may wear a speed suit at any time during an event. For the purpose of interpreting this rule, the term is defined as:
A speedsuit must be comprised of 100% textile material such as nylon or lycra and must not include rubberised material such as polyurethane or neoprene. The speed suit may contain a zipper.
