There are two ways you can enter.
1. You can enter online via the "Entry" tab at the left side of the page, and then click on "Enter Online".
2. If you do not wish to enter online, you may download the Entry Form from the "Entry" tab. Faxed and phone entries will not be accepted.
Entries will not be accepted without payment.
Online entries are accepted up until 5:00pm on the Thursday prior to the race.
Race Weekend Entries are accepted, subject to avaliability, at the race venue, for a $10 late fee on Saturday and a $15 late fee and $15 late bike racking fee on Sunday.
The online opening date will be updated shortly.
Your age group category is based on the age you are as of 31st December 2012.
You can leave your sports bag in the Gear Tent where it will be safely watched over by the event staff while you are out on the course. The Gear Tent will be located in the Check In Tent from 6.15am once check in has closed.
To avoid having all the athletes entering the water at the same time, competitors are divided into “waves”. Each wave will consist of no more than 80 swimmers to give you plenty of room to swim and enter transition smoothly. Check the information board for your swim start time or view them here the in the week leading up to your race.
The water temperature is taken the morning of the race and if the water is 24 degrees or above then it is a non-wetsuit swim. If the water temperature is below 24 degrees, you will be given the option of wearing a wetsuit. It is not a requirement to wear a wetsuit if the water temp is below 24 degrees.
Yes you can. You can use any type of bike you like provided it is roadworthy and approved by Triathlon Queensland.
No – in fact, unless you are an experienced rider, it's probably a good idea to stick to your running shoes when you're starting out. It also means less change over when you switch from the bike to the run!
Yes, there is plenty of water available on the run course. It is a good idea to slow down and make full use of the drink stations.
After the race is a great time to catch up with friends and family, make new friends with your fellow competitors and generally talk about the whole experience! After that, stick around for the presentations and random draw prizes, remember to put your race number in the barrel, you must be present to win!

with in 2 weeks of the event to arrange for medal collection. If you are unable to collect your medal from our office (1/120 Fison Ave West, EAGLE FARM), you are able to have your medal sent for a surcharge of $10. You will also be ineligible for random draw prizes if you are not at the presentation.

By becoming a Triathlon Queensland member you will become exempt from paying the one day license fee attached to all USM triathlon events within the membership year.

You cannot transfer your entry to someone else - and it is illegal to race under someone else's name.
Results will be available on the night of the event via the USM Events website.
Photos will be available from Sporting Images within the week after the race. An email will be sent when the photos become available.
If you have entered into the wrong category, you can contact us up until 5pm on the Thursday prior to the race to make the change. If you need to make a change to your entry after this time, you will be able to see us at the help desk at the race venue during check in time on the Saturday and Sunday of the event weekend.
You will receive the following items when you check in for the race on the Saturday or Sunday at the venue:
- Timing band (to be worn on your LEFT ankle)
- Bike sticker (to be attached around the seat post of your bike)
- Race number (to be worn so that it is visible from the front - only required in the run leg)
- Swim cap (all competitors must wear their given cap)
- Please Note: Competitor Race Briefings will not be included in this seasons race pack. They will be available online for you to download and print if required.
You are not permitted to race with any music devices including mobile phones, MP3 players, earphones etc, as stated in Triathlon Australia's rules and regulations. If you are caught with any of these items, you will be instantly disqualified.

Yes you can enter the Saturday prior to the race and on race morning, subject to availability. Check In (where you can collect a late entry form to register) is located at the race venue for each event.
Saturday registrations incur a late fee of $10 and race day entries incur a late fee of $15 and a $15 late bike racking fee.
Yes there is baggage storage available. This is located at the check in tent from 6.15am.
Age restrictions will be updated prior to the event opening online.

A team consists of 2 or 3 participants with each person completing one or two legs of the triathlon. Each team has a swimmer, cyclist and runner.
The team is given one timing chip (to be worn by ALL team members on the LEFT ankle) which must be used like a relay baton and passed from one team member to the next within the transition area.
The entry fee for a team is advertised per team - not per team member.
You will not receive anything in the mail regarding your entry. You will be emailed a confirmation receipt once pament has been made.
Closer to the event day, you will find all accepted entries under 'Acceptance List' in the 'Entry' tab on the left hand side of the page. We advise you check this list to ensure your entry has been accepted and you have entered into the correct category.
You can also check your acceptance and race category by logging on to your Active profile using your email and password.

Cancellation fees will be updated prior to entries opening online.
Refunds will be issued by the same method as payment. Entry is non transferable. It is illegal to race under someone else’s name.
If you withdraw before the race start, please advise the Check-In Tent and hand your timing band in. If you withdraw during the race, please report to the Check-In Tent and advise them you have withdrawn and also hand your timing.
It is complusory for all triathletes to check in.
You must show identification (Driver's Licence, or copy of your receipt) to check in and your Triathlon Australian Licence if you are a member. At the Check In Tent, your name will be crossed off and you will be given your race pack containing:

Teams will receive one timing band (ALL members must wear the timing band on their LEFT ankle, passed from each team member like a relay baton in the transition area) and race pack per team.
Please note it is illegal for someone to race under your name or for you to race under someone else's - this will result in suspension from your State Triathlon Association and you are not insured while racing.
