Airports
Noosa is serviced by Sunshine Coast Airport which is 20 minutes drive to the south. Daily flights connect Sydney (1.5 hours) and Melbourne (2.25 hours) airports. Brisbane Domestic and International Airports are only 1.5 hours drive to Noosa.
Climate
Noosa is a subtropical paradise. The climate in November produces an average 26 degrees Celsius air temperature, 24 degrees Celsius water temperature and 60% humidity. The days feature 14 hours of sunlight with predominantly south easterly 10kph afternoon breezes.
Training Facilities
Noosa and its surrounding areas offer perfect triathlon training conditions. There is access to open water, sheltered bay and canal swimming as well as a 50m pool complex in Noosa offering excellent facilities. The National Park offers numerous trails with soft pine bark to sandy surfaces with hilly and flat sections as well as access to a 400m running track, grass surface within 10 minutes of Noosa. A 400m tartan track is available at the Sunshine Coast University located at Chancellor Park 30 minutes from Noosa. There is a variety of terrain for cycling including flat roads for easy recovery sessions to group interval time trial sessions as well as rolling hills within 60km radius of Noosa, perfect for long training rides. The roads in and around Noosa are relatively safe in terms of traffic volume and traffic awareness due to the popularity of triathlon within the area. View more training information.
