 COURSE UPDATE

As of last week, the course was in good shape. Many people have been out riding over the new improved Ringtail Forest loop (Intermediate 50km) and it really is a lot of fun. With the help of the Sunshine Bicycle Works guys we have revamped this side of the Enduro and tried to minimize any known major boggy sections. The tracks dried out quiet quickly after the heavy downpours in May and everything was looking good, so fingers crossed that this will happen again after this rain. New sections of single track and some old favourites have been included this year which the guys are raving about.

The Advanced loop out to Kin Kin is in good form with the track receiving a bit of trail maintenance. Some ruts were formed from the recent rains, but all perfectly rideable and making way for some new lines while adding a little technical aspect to this physically demanding loop. This loop will remain 99% the same as last year however we will now be detouring around the harsh boggy paddock / climb after the Gympie / Kin Kin Road crossing, and staying on the road for 1.4km up until Sheppersons Lane where we’ll take a right and join back in to head up Kinmond Creek Road and over Simpson Road to the Lookout.

The 10km Novice course looks in good shape also. This is 9kms of fire road, winding its way through the forest on the Pomona side of the railway tracks. This course is based on a novice competitor but still has its technical aspects.  Watch out for a couple of washout sections, loose gravel and some undulating terrain. Remember it is not timed, so go at your own pace, have fun and get home safe.
Please remember to close all gates behind you on your training rides and take all rubbish out with you whenever you ride. Rubbish and drink bottles on course will not be tolerated.

Also, a reminder that the Noosa Enduro uses and crosses some local and main roads. Please dismount to cross these roads and always be well aware of vehicles both on fire roads and sealed roads.
