|
The Tanita Sprintman Triathlon will be run on the same day and on the same course as the Cannibal Gold Coast Half Ironman Triathlon. Athletes will complete one lap each of the swim, cycle and run or alternatively compete in a team (2-3 persons per team).
This event will give short distance triathletes a taste for the longer distance and also provide a great opportunity to test their fitness before the up and coming 2009 Noosa Triathlon and the 2009/10 Gatorade Queensland Triathlon Series.
Thank you to Tanita for sponsoring this fantastic inclusion to the Half Ironman Triathlon event; this will be Tanita’s third consecutive year of involvement. Please make sure your bike security sticker is fastened to your bike at all times and is not removed until your bike is checked out of the transition area post race. USM EVENTS will continue to provide full security around the transition area, however we do advise that each competitor personally insures their bike and other valuable possessions. This decision comes in light of an incident that took place at a non-USM event, however extra measures are being introduced to make sure it doesn’t happen to one of our valued competitors.
