2009 Gold Coast ITU Triathlon Oceania Championships

Elite Olympic distance event (1.5km/40km/10km)
Also doubles as a World Championship selection race for U23 athletes.
Prize money - $12,000 AUD

Suited to the serious athlete through to those competitors who just enjoy triathlons on the weekend. Numerous age and weight categories are available.

The Sprint Distance race is an official qualifying race for the Gold Coast ITU Triathlon World Championships

Enticer Triathlon

A great way to become involved in triathlon. Short fun races anyone can do. Cross train for your sport and be fully prepared for any sport next season.

The Courier Mail SuperKidz Triathlon

Great fun for kids and spectators. Categories include 7-9 years and 10-11 years, and a First Timers SuperKidz Category specifically for Kids doing their first ever triathlon. See below for more information on the SuperKidz category.

Each competitor receives a 2009 Gold Coast Triathlon - Luke Harrop Memorial race kit with official Scody running singlet.

Regular Entries Close

5pm Thursday 26th February 2009 (if not sold out prior)

Changes/Refunds

50% refund will be given to withdrawals made by 5pm Wednesday 18 February 2009. No refund will be given after this time. Withdrawals must be in writing via email, post or fax. Refunds will be given via the same method payment was made.

Race Acceptances

No Race Acceptance will be mailed. Please check your member’s area to confirm your entry.

Race Results

Race results for the Gold Coast Triathlon will be available on the website on Sunday night, March 1st 2009.

Prizes

Fantastic Random Draw prizes to be won at presentations. Gold Coast Tri and Enticer categories will receive 1st - 3rd medals. First place in every category will receive a prize. The Courier Mail SuperKidz will be provided with finisher's medals.

Gatorade QTS Points

The Gold Coast Triathlon - Luke Harrop Memorial race will count towards Gatorade Queensland Triathlon Series Points. Don't miss out on extra Series race points!

The Courier Mail SuperKidz

This year this race will be timed and QTS Kool Kids whom participate will be eligible for QTS Series Points (excluding First Timer category). Please note – the SuperKidz race is still focussed on participation and placegetters will not be awarded. All SuperKidz will receive a finisher’s medallion.
