Noosa Blue Water Swimmers – Taking to the Coastal Track
Noosa Blue 2km swim competitors will no doubt recall having to make the long trek out to Tea Tree Bay along the fire trail. Well in 2008 things are changing.
The Queensland Parks & Wildlife Services (QPWS) are giving you the opportunity to walk out along the Coastal Track! However to secure this privilege there are a few strict rules to follow:
- All competitors are to be marshaled outside the entrance to the National Park.
- Numbered competitors will only be allowed entry to the National Park by wave starts/cap colour in groups of 15.
- Spectators are requested not to congregate in groups larger than 10 on any section of the Coastal track.

To comply with the regulations of the QPWS we will be running things a little differently:
- The only Gear Tent will be located at First Point Car Park. Please leave your belongings in the Gear Tent prior to boarding the shuttle bus.
- Registration is at the Surf Club Car Park and your registration time will be dictated by your wave start. Wave start/rego times COMING SOON.
- Please note that the First Point Car Park WILL BE CLOSED.
We hope to retain this privilege in 2009, thank the QPWS for the opportunity to try and more importantly look forward to seeing you on Sunday 18th May.
