Welcome to the home of the Gatorade Queensland Tri Series by USM Events.

WILEY ATKINSON TOO GOOD FOR YOUNG GUNS ROBERTS SCORES SURPRISE SPRINT WIN

Australia’s Courtney Atkinson and South Africa’s Kate Roberts handled the explosive Enduro format racing in difficult conditions to claim wins in the first National Elite race at the Caloundra Triathlon this morning.

The Gold Coaster, Atkinson proved what a versatile world class athlete he is, storming home on the final run leg to beat Dan Wilson and David Matthews over the non traditional format.

The format saw athletes complete a 300m swim, 7km cycle and 1.8km run twice in succession.

26-year-old Roberts currently based in Canberra training with an international squad in preparation for the upcoming domestic racing just tipped out Australia’s leading juniors Gold Coaster Ashleigh Gentle and
Victorian Holly Aitken.

It is that time of year again…

Sunday October 18 sees the start of the 2009/10 Gatorade Queensland Tri Series. The first race of the series covers a QTS distance of 400m swim/15km cycle/ 4km run, NAB Enticer distance of 200m swim/5km cycle/ 2km run and The Courier-Mail Kool Kids participate over a 100m swim/2km cycle and 400m run. The Raby Bay course is known as Brisbane’s Premier Triathlon Venue and last year proved very popular with Sell Out attendances at two of the three races.

USM EVENTS are pleased to announce the donation of over $11,500 to the official charity of the series 2008/09 - the Law Enforcement Torch Run. These funds will be used to continue the development of Special Olympic sports throughout Queensland and to raise the profile and participation for persons with intellectual disabilities.
